In order to successfully construct new architecture, you have to aim high. This is something we learned a long time ago. Thanks to this and the passion we have for our chosen profession, we have won numerous awards. One of the most important elements of many residential properties is the fireplace. What we are going to do is give you some ideas for installing feature fireplaces.

Double frame

The first option we will talk about is double frame fire places. You can try using multiple colours or materials here. This is a great way to create a nice feature. The goal is picture framing the fire rather than drawing attention to the mantel and hearth.

Contemporary statement fireplaces

You could try some contemporary statement designs too. One of the leading fireplace differentiators is contemporary vs traditional aesthetics. However, don’t think you need to stick with one or the other. For instance, a contemporary design can easily sit in a period townhouse. This is if elements of its design make references to the past.

Oversize

Another possibility would be oversized surrounded fireplaces. There is no rule that they can't surpass the regular dimensions. The majority of guides will say that the fireplace’s width should not go any wider. If it does, it would appear out of proportion with the architecture of your room. It would create embarrassing overhangs. This is for rooms with a chimney breast. Otherwise, the majority of fireplaces will typically follow a corresponding pattern. This is leaving a bit of wall room on either side of the surround. However, if you take the surround all the way to the chimney breast's edges, you will create a strong statement.
