Many people out there believe their projects are impossible to complete. However, we are here to prove that is not the case at all. We don't consider anything to be completely out of the question here. Throughout history humans have used countless materials to create shelters. This ranges from sticks to mud, stone to steel and glass. A look at the materials paints a picture of our progress and also how much effort we have made to build long-lasting buildings. It is surprising just how long some of these structures can last. These are ones that can last a very long time.
Brick
Firstly we have brick, a material typically created using clay. There are numerous ancient structures that would not be possible without bricks. Examples include the Great Wall of China, the Pantheon, and the Roman aqueducts. There are several older styles of brickmaking we still use today. In dry climates, mud and clay bricks are highly stable. However, if there is an abundance of rain, the walls could lose stability. Eventually, we solved the issue of moisture weakening bricks with the introduction of high heat. Thee products are convenient to use and easy to make. Not to mention, they are fire and weather resistant, and incredibly durable.
Stone
Next on our list is stone. This is an impressive and durable material. The only downside is you need the resources to excavate and cut it properly. This can be very expensive but it is a long lasting, incredibly hard wearing building material. As opposed to brick, you can stack stone without the assistance of mortar. Furthermore, you can support heavy vertical loads. Stone also withstands the elements, weathers, fire, and deforming very well. This assists it with preserving stable inner environments.
