NLA 2018 winners revealed
Coffey Architects appreciate the effort that goes into making great homes. It is vital that residents are happy but other stakeholders should also value the designs. We strive to do this, creating some of the most thoughtful residential architecture London has. Our approach has helped us earn many awards and commendations.The ceremony to reveal the New London Awards 2018 winners was held on 4th July. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan gave the keynote speech, calling for the design sector in the capital to represent the city. He said that good design should be the rule instead of an exception. This is an ideal we share.The winnersIn total 30 projects got awards. This includes the Royal Academy of Music Theatre for Culture and Community, Gospel Oak Infill Sites for Homes, Bloomberg London for Offices, and also White Collar Factory for Wellbeing.The most successful project at the awards was London Bridge Station. It is one of the most complex and ambitious in the UK. The new station is a great example of how sustainability as well as good design can be key driving factors. The project was the winner in three categories; Transport & Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Overall Winner.The Coffey Architects team was proud to even be in the running for the Mixed Use category. Our project, Plot 1 of London Square in Bermondsey is thoughtful and will suit the setting.
